Boreal Adventures

Come and discover the last wild North where the wilderness still rules

Old forests, frozen mornings, open tundra, and endless horizons. Some of the last truly wild hunting grounds in Europe, where solitude, dogs, and wild birds remain at the center of the experience.

Lapland is considered by many pointing dog enthusiasts to be the pinnacle of wild bird hunting in Europe. A remote northern land of immense spaces, untouched mountains, ancient forests, pristine rivers, and true Scandinavian wilderness. Places where nature still dictates the rhythm and wild birds remain genuinely wild.

This vast territory is home to some of Europe’s most iconic and demanding feathered game. Capercaillie, black grouse, willow ptarmigan, and woodcock inhabit landscapes that challenge both hunter and dog alike. Hunting here is never artificial or predictable. It is raw, uncertain, physical, and real - and precisely for that reason, unforgettable.

Together with experienced pointing dogs, we move through colourful autumn forests, mountain valleys, and silent lands where reindeer and moose still roam freely. Cold mornings, wet boots, tired legs, and the deep silence of wilderness become part of the experience itself.

For me, guiding is not about commercial hunting tourism, numbers, or luxury. It is about offering a genuine experience of wild bird hunting in some of the wildest remaining places in Europe. Hunting that still carries the old spirit of adventure, authenticity, and connection with nature.

The number of guests is kept extremely limited each season to ensure every experience remains personal, genuine, and adapted to the conditions, the dogs, and the people involved. Never rushed, crowded, or artificial. Some days are intense. Some difficult. Some magical. Wild hunting offers no guarantees, and that is precisely what makes it meaningful.

We currently offer two exclusive guided hunting experiences in Sweden, both focused on authentic wild bird hunting together with experienced pointing dogs and small personal groups.

Lapland, September
Swedish Lapland during the early autumn season, hunting some of Scandinavia’s most iconic wild birds: black grouse, capercaillie, and willow ptarmigan. Vast mountain and forest terrains, demanding birds, and true northern wilderness. Groups are kept between two and four hunters per week to ensure a genuine and personal experience adapted to both dogs and conditions.

Eurasian Woodcock , November
West coast of Sweden during the peak of the migrating woodcock season. Hunting takes place in dense Scandinavian forests and mixed woodland terrain, offering intimate and challenging hunting over pointing dogs in one of Europe’s most traditional forms of wild bird hunting. Groups are also limited to two to four hunters per week.

The philosophy remains the same in both experiences: small groups, authentic hunting, wild birds, real dogs, and real wilderness. Never rushed, crowded, or commercialised.
